Climate Markets are going global.
Predicta's Climate Markets have expanded from a regional weather product into a dedicated global discovery surface. At the time of this release, the Climate Hub is showing 19 active series, combining Taiwan temperature markets with seven international locations and designated official weather observations.
A Climate market hub, not a longer home page
This update changes more than the list of available cities. Climate is now its own market domain inside Predicta. The global navigation routes users into a dedicated Climate interface, where the left rail can filter markets by observation cycle and location.
The home page remains a lightweight gateway. Climate and Crypto can grow independently instead of turning the landing page into an endless catalogue. The same information architecture can later support additional market domains with their own discovery taxonomies.
Official observations from multiple national providers
Every international profile is tied to a designated provider, station or observation series. Predicta does not use a generic weather app value as the settlement source.
The official source decides the result
The contract freezes its provider, station, metric, timezone, observation series and evidence window. The market predicts the temperature range. The designated official observation determines the result.
If the required official observation is not available inside the settlement evidence window, Predicta does not silently swap to another station, invent a temperature or use an unrelated fallback. The event waits for valid evidence. That fail-closed behavior is intentional because a prediction market is only useful when every participant can verify what the contract actually means.
One observation, one market anchor
The global weather generator fetches the official observation, stores it in Predicta's evidence series, updates the current market reference and reuses the same observation as the anchor for the maintained market instances. This avoids unnecessary repeated provider calls while preserving the evidence trail used for settlement.
Hourly profiles include Singapore, Seoul, Jakarta, Hong Kong and New York, alongside the existing Taiwan hourly markets. Bangkok and Metro Manila use a 3-hour market cadence aligned to their selected official observation products.
What traders see
Climate cards now surface the current official temperature, current 0.5ยฐC range, settlement time, outcome count and trader activity. The Climate sidebar shows runtime counts for Hourly, 3 Hour and each available location, while the top-right active-series count gives a quick view of the size of the live Climate catalogue.
